W.H. Greene and Associates jumps three places in the standings with two big wins

July 21, 2008 - W.H. Greene and Associates won two big games on Sunday, which moved them from 6th place to 3rd in the GBFFL standings. In their first game they squeeked out a one point, 13-12 win over the 4th place Pussycats. In their second game Greene and Associates pounded 5th place American Glass Block by a score of 22-0. Quarterback Brandt Dubey led Green and Associates with perfectly placed passes, out of multiple formations, throughout the day.

Buffalo Soldiers, E.A. Heroes and Any Given Sunday also won two games on Sunday. Buffalo Soldiers earned their first and second wins of the season and improved from 13th to 11th in the standings. Their first win came by way of a forfeit from the Raiders and their second was a 12-8 victory over the Tigers. E.A. Heroes maintained 7th place in the standings and kept themselves in the hunt for a competitive playoff birth by defeating ACDC 36-8 and The Tigers 20-15. Any Given Sunday continued to dominate all competition, and improved to 8-0, by way of their 34-18 win over The Buffalo Braves and their 34-19 win over Alumni's. The GBFFL season continues this Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Kunz stadium on the University at Buffalo North campus. Games begin at 10:00 A.M. and conclude at 2:00 P.M., spectators are welcome and admission is free. Click on the "venue" tab for directions to Kunz Stadium.
