Greater Buffalo Flag Football League
affiliates with the USFTL

Buffalo, NY – June 2, 2008 – The Greater Buffalo Flag Football League has announced its official affiliation with the Unites States Flag and Touch Football League (USFTL.com). With sanctioned leagues and tournaments throughout the North East, the USFTL, whose home office is located in Mentor, Ohio, is one of the most well established leagues in the country. The GBFFL will provide paid bids for league champions to the USFTL National Championships. Competitive division championship teams (men’s and women’s) will receive a full paid bid to the 2009 USFTL National Championships held in Kissimmee, FL on January 16, 17 & 18, 2009. A full paid bid consists of a teams registration fee being paid for ($285 value). Recreational division championship teams with 8 or more teams in the division will receive a half paid bid to the National Championships ($145). Recreational division championship teams with less than 8 teams in their division will receive a quarter paid bid ($72).

The GBFFL, which is in its inagural season, offers 4 on 4 flag football with men’s and women’s competitive and recreational divisions. The 4 on 4 style of play is most often associated with the former NFL air-it-out nation wide tour which sponsored tournaments around the country culminating with the national championships in Florida. The GBFFL summer session begins on June 29, 2008 and end with playoffs on August 17, 2008. Teams will soon be able to register online at http://GBFFL.com/, as the league is expected to launch its website any day.
