Any Given Sunday serves notice with two impressive wins

July 8, 2008 - Any Given Sunday put the rest of the Greater Buffalo Flag Football League "on notice" last Sunday with two impressive wins in week #2 of the GBFFL season. In their opening game, they dismantled The Pussycats by a score of 26-0. Their second game was a highly anticipated match-up with first place, E.A. Heroes. E.A. Heroes, led by their strong armed Quarterback Tim Bailey started strong, by scoring twice early, but were overwhelmed by Any Given Sunday, 40-12. Nick Pappas led Any Given Sunday with touchdown passes to multiple receivers. Justin Athans dominated play from his receiver spot using his size and athleticism to bring down multiple jump balls. Tim Delaney and T.J. Pappas both contributed with solid play both offensively and defensively.

Any Given Sunday (4-0) lands in the top spot in the GBFFL standings by virtue of their dominating performance. The Dynasty stands as the only other undefeated team with an identical 4-0 record. Any Given Sunday owns the top spot as a result of their +92 point differential, compared to The Dynasty's +75. Any Given Sunday and the rest of the GBFFL will compete in week #3 action, this Sunday July 13, 2008 at Kunz Field located on the University at Buffalo North Campus. Games begin at 10:00 A.M. and conclude at 2:40 P.M., spectators are welcome and admission is free.
